I always love working at great wedding reception venues. The Ariel Pearl in Cleveland is one that I’ve recently discovered. My clients Joe and Nicole recently had their wedding reception there and I was super excited to finally get to work their having heard great things.
Located in Cleveland, Ohio on Pearl Road near the Cleveland Zoo, it is just close enough to downtown Cleveland that, if needed, we could take the short trip for creative wedding day photos.
Classic Wedding Reception
According to Ariel Pearl’s website, “This stunning historic building was built in 1923 as the Pearl Street Savings and Trust Bank, which was designed by the famous architects, Hubbell & Benes, who also designed the Cleveland Museum of Art, West Side Market, City Club, Masonic Temple, and other famous historic buildings.”
The interior is just breathtaking. High ceilings. Stone walls. High arched ceilings.
Bank vaults! This is one really interesting and unique feature. I’ve seen this at other venues include The Metropolitan at the 9 and Crop Bistro. Trying to figure out a unique way to do an artistic wedding picture that isn’t the same as all the others that have been done there was my challenge. Joe and Nicole were up for all of my ideas. It was so much fun exploring this unique space and creating the beautiful wedding images.
During the daylight hours, there is gorgeous natural light that pours into the space. But once the sun goes down, the room transforms. The chandeliers proved a dramatic creative element to wedding reception photos like the grand entrance, first dance and reception speeches. I tried to incorporate them in a lot of what would be considered “standard’ reception pictures in order to document the space in a more unique way.
Great Reception Staff
One feature of a great wedding reception staff is that they are always there but never noticeable. The staff at the Ariel Pearl had this down to perfection. Never intrusive but extremely attentive. That is everything and all that that you can ask of a high end reception facility.
A gorgeous reception venue close to downtown Cleveland and the Cleveland Zoo. A great spot for pictures. And a great staff. If you are planning your wedding reception in Cleveland, Ariel Pearl is definitely worth a look. You can contact them here:
