A few weeks ago, I attended an open house at Crop Bistro in Ohio City. My first impression of the place…Wow! There are a ton of great locations in Cleveland, and many superb restaurants in Ohio City, but how did I not know of this place before that night?
A Team of Great Cleveland Wedding Professionals
When I saw it, I just HAD to get in there with my camera. Luckily, that is exactly what I was able to do. With the help of Crop Bistro event coordinator, Ursula, I arranged for a couple of models, styled by one of my favorite make-up artists in Cleveland, Kaelyn Zielinski of MyFairMarkUp Artistry, dresses provided by Elyse’s Boutique, floral arrangements provided by Merry Me Creations and Diana Elizabeth Designs.
Alternative Wedding Reception Location
Situated inside an old bank (the vaults are in the lower level), Crop Bistro is one of the most unique locations that I’ve seen a quite a while. Gearing up to offer an alternative wedding reception location, Crop is in a good position to be a wedding reception venue for the nontraditional bride and groom. It won’t be your typical Cleveland wedding reception spot.
I spent the majority of the time during the photo shoot in the vault which, as I mentioned, is on the lower level. This is SUCH a cool location. Similar to The Vault at the Metropolitan at the 9 but much more intimate. The meeting room was very elegant and having a meeting or a dinner in there would be quite the fancy affair. There were four of us in the meeting room during the photo session and the room inspired totally different ideas in each of us. I utilized as much of the space in the lower level as I could since we had a bride in a wedding dress and a groom in a tuxedo. I wanted to show the potential that the space has for great wedding pictures.
We had a chance to do pictures in the Penthouse and on it’s patio but by the time that we got up there, it was brutally cold and very windy, so we did what we could from the inside. I would have LOVED to have done some pictures in the dining room but I didn’t want to disrupt the guests that were dining. I’m hoping to get back in to Crop very soon.
Favorite Wedding Pictures from Crop Bistro
After shooting there, I am excited about documenting a wedding reception in the space. Here are some of my favorite pictures for the session. Thank you to our models, the beautiful Haley Kline and Kevin Pelger and all of the vendors which I have previously menitoned.
