It had to be the hottest Cleveland engagement session that I’ve ever had. Allison and Randy met near Lake Erie for the engagement pictures but the typical breeze off of the lake was nonexistent. We could have rescheduled. It would have made things easier for all of us. But my approach is, what if it’s 100 degrees on the wedding day? We can’t reschedule because it’s too hot. Going thru with the engagement pictures on such a hot day will prepare my clients for whatever their wedding day might bring. So, whether 100+ degree temperatures, 10 degree with snow, or rain, my clients are usually well prepared for their wedding day.
Challenging Engagement Shoot
It was challenging to work is such sweltering heat. I would get the shots that I wanted and, literally, within 30 seconds Allison and Randy were sweating like crazy. They were SUCH great sports about it, though. They could have easily just quit and rescheduled. But they seemed to trust me, and the wanted some great engagement pictures. Which we did.
We met about an hour or so before sunset. We wanted to get some pictures before the sun went down and then some sunset pictures. One of the advantages of the hot weather is that it created a dramatic sunset. Luckily, clouds formed right at sunset which helped with the beautiful sky. The pictures from this portion of the session are some of my favorites.
Ready for their wedding day
I knew after this session that they would have a terrific wedding day. They will be getting married at St. Joan Vianney Church in Mentor and having their wedding reception at LaMalfa also in Mentor. Here are a few of my favorites from the session.
