After all of my years of a wedding photographer, this would be my first wedding reception at LaMalfa (believe it or not). And, after Randy and Allison’s crazy hot engagement session in Cleveland, I knew that the day would be great.
We decided that it would be most convenient for Allison and Randy to get dressed right at the Church. So, after Allison had her hair and make-up at the salon, we headed to St. John Vianney Church in Mentor. It’s not usual for a bride and groom to get dressed at the church but not unheard of. Depending on the demands of the wedding day timeline, sometimes it just makes sense. And, it definitely ensures that they will be on time for the ceremony 🙂 .
Creative Wedding Pictures in Warehouse
Following their ceremony, we planned on going to an abandoned warehouse in Cleveland. Randy and Allison were not confident in the location, but I was. They trusted me and we got some fantastic, creative pictures. That is a huge reason that I include an engagement session in my wedding service. We establish trust and confidence so that, in a situation like at the warehouse, the bride and groom just roll with it and know that we will get great wedding photos.
LaMalfa Wedding Reception
Randy and Allison had a ton of creative wedding details at their wedding reception at LaMalfa. The blue uplighting matched perfectly with all of the blue in all of the details. The staff at LaMalfa were very attentive and made sure that all of the elements went together perfectly. LaMalfa does a ton of wedding receptions every year. One of the oldest and most well known wedding reception venue’s in Cleveland. Family owned for almost 50 years, they have it down. And they did on this night as well. Allison and Randy, along with their guests, had a great time. It was the perfect ending to a perfect day.
I want to thank Randy and Allison for allowing me to document their wedding day. Their families and wedding party couldn’t have been nicer to work with. As mentioned the staff at LaMalfa did a great job with the reception. Here are some of my favorite pictures from their day.
