After some frigid pictures in Wade Oval Park, we headed to Patrick and Laura’s wedding reception at the Union Club of Cleveland. I love the Union Club. It is one of my favorite wedding reception facilities in Cleveland. Multiple floors with beautiful wood. A grand staircase. And a beautiful ballroom. Having suites makes it even more awesome. Guests can stay there so that they don’t have to drink and drive. The bride can get ready there. Most of the time, brides and grooms will have their wedding and reception together there.
We did some wedding pictures around the facility until it was time for the reception to start. Patrick and Laura sat at the head of a huge king’s table. This makes their seating more communal with their bridal party. It also enables better pictures during speeches and such. Being able to shoot thru the bride and groom to whomever is speaking is something that I love to do.
The Union Club is large enough for a decent size wedding reception but just small enough for it to remain intimate. Having the bar in the hallway allows guests to have a conversation without straining to hear and speak over the music.
Patrick and Laura were just terrific all day. I want to thank them for allowing me to photograph their wedding day. Their families and wedding party were a joy. The wedding staff at the Union Club were top notch, as always. I looking forward to documenting more wedding reception at the Union Club of Cleveland in the future.
