For the second time in a few months, I documented a wedding & reception at Landoll’s Castle in Mohican Country in Loudonville County Ohio. This time it was Amber and Jacob.
Wedding Day at Mohican Castle
Amber and her entourage prepared for the wedding day in the ballroom. This is most convenient for larger wedding parties as it gives the hair and make-up artists plenty of room to pamper their clients. It’s also spacious enough for the bridesmaids to be comfortable throughout the process. As everyone was getting ready, the ballroom was being set up for the evening and the theme of the reception became evident. HARRY POTTER!! Amber and Jacob are big fans of Harry Potter so their reception was loosely based on the series.
The wedding favor that they had prepared for their guests was one of the most unique and creative that I’ve seen in my 24 years as a wedding photographer. Amber had handcrafted magic wands! 122 different and unique wands. Spectacular!

Landoll’s Wedding Ceremony
The weather was perfect and the ceremony was absolutely beautiful. Emotional and intimate, tears were shed and laughter intertwined the emotion. Afterwards, we meandered around the area chasing the beautiful sunlight for some post ceremony creative wedding pictures.
Landoll’s Wedding Reception
The wedding reception was beautiful and fun. The day was topped off with visit to the graveyard for some creative pictures then a sparkler send off. Landoll’s is a fantastic location if you are looking for a completely unique wedding experience. Here are some of my favorite pictures from Amber and Jacob’s day.
