After a great morning filled with friends and family, and before we ventured to the wedding reception at Akron Hilton, we were off to the ceremony at the Revere Road Synagogue. This began with a song and the bedeken, or veiling of the bride, lead by Rabbi Sasonkin. The Rabbi told stories of Jewish wedding traditions. Such an engaging man, Rabbi Sasonkin told these stories as though it was the first time that he told them. It was very enjoyable.
The ceremony itself was gorgeous as is the synagogue itself. I don’t think that Taylor and Carly stopped smiling once. Afterwards, it was immediately off to their wedding reception at Akron Hilton.
Coordinated by Eileen Benson of Bridal Consulting by Eileen Benson, with gorgeous floral centerpieces created by Cleveland florist Peter Bouterse, and other details by Lovely Somethings. In my experience of photographing over 300 weddings, its not often that I see such perfectly illuminated centerpieces and wedding cake (I obsess over great quality light). Just the right amount of light on every single centerpiece. Just gorgeous. Such great reception details!
The Cleveland Music Group Orchestra handled the evening’s entertainment and did a fantastic job. The dancefloor was never empty and was overflowing for most of the night.
One particular detail that I especially loved was that Carly and Taylor scheduled their wedding day on the same day as Carly’s grandparents 60th wedding anniversary (60 years!). They honored them by including them in their first dance and a beautiful anniversary cake.
The night wrapped up with the arrival of the Swenson’s Food truck (right?!!) which everyone loved. Out of towners discovered one of the true gems of Akron.
I want to thank Taylor, Carly, their families and bridal party for being so wonderful to work with. I would like to also thank Eileen Benson for another perfect day. And finally the staff at the Akron Fairlawn Hilton as well as The Cleveland Music Group Orchestra for putting on such a great evening.
