Rob and Janet had their wedding and reception at the House of Blues Cleveland. This was JUST my type of wedding. Non conventional. Unique. And FUN! Rob is a amateur photographer himself, so I had to be on my toes all day (even though I try to ALWAYS be on my toes).
As a wedding photographer, a wedding reception at House of Blues is a treat. The place is MADE for it. Cool low light areas. Use of the main stage. The Foundation Room. The Foundation Room is especially cool. Reserved for paying members. Decked out with Buddhist symbols and the walls are covered in ornate fabrics…a very cool place for wedding pictures. This was the location of Rob and Janet’s wedding ceremony.
We did some pictures in the House of Blues lobby. Using the the memorial to Alan Freed as the backdrop seemed appropriate.
A wedding reception at House of Blues is really one of a kind. Using the music hall where all of the musical acts perform puts you in a festive mood as soon as you set foot there. Utilizing all of the House of Blues professional lighting and their sound system kicks the reception up a couple notches. Things just seemed to get more and more fun as the night went on.
