There were a lot of wedding pictures to be done before Alex and Melanie’s wedding reception at Ariel Pearl. Most importantly, their wedding ceremony at Mary Queen of Peace. We had planned on visiting many photo locations in Cleveland for creative wedding pictures. I always have a wedding day timeline meeting before all of my client’s wedding day. This allows us to be completely organized and I can be sure to discuss everything that is important to my clients. We discussed all of their favorite locations at this meeting.
Wedding Ceremony at Mary Queen of Peace Church
Mary Queen of Peace is a beautiful church located just west of downtown Cleveland near the Cleveland Zoo. As I mentioned in my previous blog post, Melanie decided to put her dress on at the church. This allowed us to utilize the church for a lot of the family pictures that we always take on wedding days. We could also explore the church doing as many creative photos as we could before the wedding ceremony.
One of the many highlights of their ceremony was the United States Air Force Honor Guard. Melanie is a Tech Sergeant in the Air Force so she and Alex were honor with their presence.
Pictures Around Downtown Cleveland
After the family pictures on the altar, which we always do, and after some pictures with Melanie’s father’s classic Cadillac, our first stop was Tremont. The Cleveland signs that are distributed around the city are very popular. Not only for wedding day photos but for selfies by residents and tourists. We also then did some pictures on the Carnegie Bridge and Playhouse Square.
Wedding Reception at Arial Pearl
I love documenting events at Ariel Pearl. It is such a beautiful wedding reception venue. With it’s various rooms, it allows guests to explore and have different areas to congrogate. Having the bar in a separate area from the main ballroom enables those who want to have a conversation to do so while others dance and party.
The staff did such a fantastic job of taking care or Alex, Melanie and their guests. The Barrio Truck was a standout at this wedding reception. DJ Sobe, of S&S Productions did a fantastic job of keeping the dance floor hopping.
I want to thank Alex and Melanie for entrusting me with documenting their wedding day.
