I was excited and a little nervous for Cassidy and Leah’s fall wedding day in Akron, Ohio. The wedding and reception took place at Firestone Country Club. They had a majority of their guests coming in from all over the United States. Leah and her immediate family are from California and planned their entire wedding day remotely.
I wanted to make sure that they had the best day possible. Wedding planning is stressful. But planning an out of state wedding is even more so. They put together an extremely strong team of wedding vendors from Cleveland and Akron so I was honored to be a part of it all.
Leah started bright and early in the Ladies locker room at Firestone. This space is PERFECT for a bride to get ready on her wedding day. Spacious and private, it also has an area devoted to hair and make up. Surround by mirrors, it’s ideal for hair and make-up artists.
Cassidy prepared for the big day in the men’s locker room. This area is connected to a set of suites and a common room which is pretty awesome for guys on a wedding day. They can stay in one of the suites and not have to really worry about a thing. This is very unique for a wedding venue to have such nice accommodations for the groom. This is why Firestone is one of my favorite wedding venues in Akron.
I will be posting three separate blog posts. One of the preparatory aspects of the day (this post). One of their first look and ceremony. And one of the wedding reception.
Here are just a few of my favorite pictures from their fall wedding day in Akron.
