It was SUCH a perfect day for EJ and Emma’s wedding day at Kimpton Schofield Hotel in Cleveland. A Friday wedding in downtown Cleveland would normally have it’s challenges competing with the bustle of the city. But they had such a well thought out timeline that it wasn’t a problem at all.
Wedding Preparations at Kimpton Schofield
Emma and Ej both had a room at the Kimpton Schofield Hotel. This made it convenient for everyone (including me 🙂 ) The Kimpton is a beautiful hotel right on East 9th Street in downtown Cleveland. They provide exquisites service to their guests and I witnessed this throughout the day. Emma and her bridesmaids walked from the Kimpton to the Cleveland Arcade where they would have their hair and make-up done at the Merengo Luxury Spa. I loved that they walked the short distance. It was such a gorgeous morning and they walk provided additional photo opportunities.
Once EJ and his groomsmen were buttoned up, we did most of his pictures outside. We walked around the Kimpton Schofield looking for interesting, quality light, which was in abundance. They were are great to work with and my my duties very easy.
Wedding Day First Look
They decided that they wanted to see each other before their wedding ceremony. I discuss wedding day first looks -HERE-. The met at Case Western Reserve so they planned on having their first look at Wade Oval Park, right behind the Cleveland Museum of Art and near Case Western. I loved how Emma couldn’t wait to get close to Ej. So much so that she started running towards him when she drew closer. I will have that moment in my next blog post which includes their wedding reception at Windows on the River.
