This was my first Indiana wedding. I’ve photographed weddings all over the United States, but this was the first time that I’ve had the opportunity to document a wedding in Indiana.
My best friend in high school, Brian, contacted me last year when his daughter, Sarah, began the wedding planning process. I was honored that he considered me and more so when he retained me.
Sarah’s wedding day started at her parents house. She was surrounded by family. I love when this happens on a wedding day. It provides many opportunities for me to photograph the bride interacting with her family, which are important wedding day pictures.
Sarah’s fiancé and the groom, Sean, prepared for the big day at their apartment. He was joined by all of his groomsmen. This enabled us to get all of the preparatory images of Sean getting ready as well as all of the interaction between him and his groomsmen. I was able to get some of the creative wedding portraits that are part of every wedding day.
Once I was finished with Sean, it was on to the church where Sarah finished getting ready. Here we were able to get wedding day portraits of the bride, the bride with her bridesmaids and with her family.
Here are just a few favorites from the beginning of the Sarah and Sean’s Indiana wedding.
I would like to thank Larry for making the 465 mile journey to Indiana to capture one of the most important days in my daughter Sarah’s life. Sarah was very nervous as I am sure most brides to be are. Larry made her feel very at ease keeping in constant contact with her to ensure her day went smooth and planned out as she wanted it. Larry started the day at 7:00 A.M with Sarah as she put on her make-up and got her done, and did not stop until 10 P.M as the reception was winding down capturing virtually ever moment in between. As for the pictures they were truly AMAZING, hands down the best I have ever seen. Sarah and Sean and all our family and friends cannot give Larry enough praise for the quality of his work. Every time I look at the pictures I feel like I am reliving that day over again, and for that I thank you. I will certainly use Larry Spencer photography for any future events. Larry is a pro’s pro, a true master of his craft.
Thank you, Brian. As I’ve mentioned to you, it was truly and honor to document Sarah and Sean’s day.
