Matt and Janet had their wedding reception at Crowne Plaza Cleveland***. A huge advantage having a wedding reception in a hotel like the Crowne Plaza is that your guests can have a great time and not worry about having to drive. They can saunter right up to their rooms after the party.
Before we arrived at the Crowne Plaza, we did some creative wedding pictures in downtown Cleveland. We ended up on the west bank of the Cleveland Flats and I was super happy with the photos that we ended up with. It was a beautifully sunny day and that added to it all. I love using direct sunlight as a light source and it also helps with indirect, bounced light.
Their wedding day was a family affair. Janet’s children were the wedding party. I love this as is cements and solidifies the new family on the wedding day. It also makes for more intimate photos since the children are a part of just about every moment of the day.
Janet’s daughter, Lauren, started the festivities at the Crowne Plaza Cleveland with a heartfelt speech. There was a solo singing performance and they even had an Elvis impersonator! How cool is that?!
The staff at the Crowne Plaza were fantastic, as expected. Matt, Janet and their whole family were just a joy to work with. I want to thank them for allowing me to document their wedding day.
