I met with Rob and Kimberly to discuss their wedding reception at Vermilion on the Lake Clubhouse last year when they booked me. We discussed everything that they were hoping for. So when the day finally arrived, it was great to see everything come to fruition. But before heading to the reception, though, they needed to get married!
As I mentioned in my last blog post (-here-), they had their wedding ceremony at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. St. Mary’s is a beautiful church in Sandusky. After the ceremony we did family pictures and then it was off to Schoepfle Garden’s for more wedding pictures. Schoepfle Gardens is a popular spot for wedding pictures. There was, at least, one other wedding party there while we were there. There is good reason that it’s so popular. It’s beautiful and really convenient. I’m glad that Rob and Kimberly took the time to stop there.
The reception at Vermilion on the Lake Clubhouse was chock full of details. There was a lot of thought put into each one and it was nice seeing it all together. Old Carolina Barbecue did the wedding reception catering. Another nice, different (and delicious) touch. DJ Jimmy was awesome keeping everyone on their feet all night. We worked together at Willis and Jessica’s wedding (-here-) and he did a great job there as well. He was also the best man so he was pulling double duty, which he did seamlessly. The night ended with a sparkler send off. Because I include all day coverage with my wedding photography service, this was never an issue with Rob and Kimberly.
I want to thank Kimberly and Rob for entrusting me to document their wedding day. Here are a few favorites from their wedding ceremony at St. Mary’s and their wedding reception at Vermilion on the Lake Clubhouse.
