A casual, relaxed wedding reception at Thorncreek Winery. That was the goal after the start of their beautiful day. Sherilyn and Charlie started their day at The Bertram in Aurora. Had wine and cheese while they waited out the rain at Thorncreek Winery. Had a beautiful ceremony at Thorncreek. Now the fun.
Relaxed Wedding Reception at Thorncreek
Like the rest of their day, Charlie and Sherilyn wanted their reception to be laid back. They wanted to be able to mingle with their guests and enjoy the time. The set up at Thorncreek was perfect. A fire pit set up for s’mores (S’MORES!). Outdoor sofas for lounging. And the complete grounds of Thorncreek if they wanted to explore. It was perfect.
They didn’t plan any wedding formalities. They did have an impromptu “first dance”, but that was it. This was great for me because it provided a ton of candid moment for photos. This, really, is the goal of most of my wedding clients. Real moments. Authentic interactions.
Nosh Catering at Thorncreek
They couldn’t have picked a more perfect caterer than Nosh Creative Catering. Their unconventional approach to their food and presentation was perfect for Charlie and Sherilyn. The food was AWESOME. Highly recommend Nosh Catering. Also, The Red Twig was flawless with the flowers. Another wonderful vendor that I will always recommend.
The staff at Thorncreek was outstanding. All of the the organizing and details and they weren’t noticable all day. Such a great job.
I want to thank Sherilyn and Charlie for trusting me to document their wedding on a referral. You two were a joy to work with and I think your pictures reflect that. Thank you to the staff at Thorncreek Winery. It was amazing to me that they could do such and amazing job while staying so inconspicuous throughout the day.
Here are just a few favorites from their wedding reception at Thorncreek Winery.
