Derek and Katie had their wedding & reception at The Marble Room Cleveland. I was very much looking forward to this day. The Marble Room being one of the most beautiful and exquisite spaces in Cleveland.
Wedding Preparations at The Metropolitan at the 9
Katie and Derek prepared for their wedding day that the Metropolitan at the 9. The Metropolitan is a gorgeous hotel in downtown Cleveland. Katie was able to spend the morning with her mother, grandmother and her friend Val. It was a very relaxed start to her beautiful day.
After they both were dressed and ready, they each walked over to the Cleveland Public Library. I was excited when Derek and Katie came up with this idea. Walking from the hotel to the library creates the potential for some real action on the streets of Cleveland. Derek and his friends decided to walk thru the Cleveland Arcade, which is an iconic location. We were able to stop a couple times and get some great creative portraits of Katie on our way. It was such a bold decision to walk considering the blistering cold blowing off of the lake but it worked out very well.
Wedding Day Pictures at the Cleveland Public Library
As mentioned, our destination was the Cleveland Public Library. Because of the weather, this was a great location for family pictures as we had full access and provided additional variety in their wedding day pictures.
Wedding Ceremony at The Marble Room
Our ultimate destination was The Marble Room in downtown Cleveland. According to their website, “The Marble Room is a celebration of Cleveland’s past. In 2017, the opulent old bank at 623 Euclid Avenue was restored and transformed into the one-of-a-kind Marble Room Steak and Raw Bar. It has a rich history that begins 100 years ago. ” As a former bank, the Marble Room still has the bank vault and this is where Derek and Katie had their wedding. Incorporating Jewish traditions, they had their Ketubah signing in the Peacock room. They had their wedding and intimate reception in the Vault.
An exceptionally technically challenging space to photograph I was totally in love. SUCH a beautiful space. I highly recommend the Marble Room for intimate and elegant events. Here are some favorite pictures from Derek and Katie’s beautiful wedding and reception at the Marble Room Cleveland.
