Yesterday was Mike and Marcy’s wedding day at Akron Courtyard Marriott. I’ve known Marcy for a long time and I was looking forward to their day. Mike and Marcy were perfect clients for me. They consulted with me and all of their wedding vendors about the timeline to make sure that there was plenty of time to, not only accomplish everything in pictures, but to make sure that they had enough time to enjoy their day. This is critical for a successful wedding day.
A wedding day is a coordinated event. There are certain things that have to happen. But it’s also a day of unknowns and moments. Allow enough time for the things that have to happen allows for more opportunities for the real moments to happen. This couldn’t have been more true on this day. Plenty of time. Everything planned perfectly.
The day started at the Akron Courtyard Marriott. A new hotel in downtown Akron. A really cool place and ideal for wedding day photos. Such a beautiful sunny, but cool day, there was an abundance of beautiful light.
Mike and Marcy decided to see each other before their wedding ceremony in order to get most of their wedding day pictures completed so that they would have more time afterward to participate in their cocktail hour at Greystone Hall in Akron. Here are a few favorites from this part of their day. I will post another blog post tomorrow which will include their beautiful wedding reception at Greystone Hall.
