I was super excited for Eric and Brook’s wedding ceremony at Greystone Hall in Akron. Greystone has long been one of my favorite wedding locations in Akron. I’ve done wedding receptions at Greystone, but this is the first time I’ve documented a wedding ceremony there.
Wedding in Akron
After their engagement session, I knew that their wedding in Akron would be great. Eric and Brooke are a fun couple and super easy to get along with. And the fact that they were having their wedding and reception at Greystone Hall had me looking forward to this day. I always include an engagement session in my basic service so that I can get to know my clients better and to prepare them for pictures on their wedding day. But this was no problem at all with them, as you can see from their engagement pictures.
The Start of the Wedding Day
The day started with Brooke and her bridesmaids at Scott Talbot Salon in Canton. The staff at Scott Talbot was very nice and took great care of the wedding party. I met Eric at Greystone where he and his groomsmen prepared for the day. We had an opportunity to explore some areas of Greystone that most wedding parties have never had the opportunity to explore. We took full advantage of this and got some fantastic wedding photos. Thank you to Eric and his father for the suggestion.
After Brooke arrived from the salon it didn’t take her long to get into her wedding dress. So, we had ample time to get great wedding portraits of her. Again, exploring the wonderful space of Greystone was so awesome. And Brooke and her bridesmaids were fun.
Wedding Ceremony at Greystone
The wedding ceremony itself took place in the Doric Room at Greystone. The room is a super cool space that, like all of Greystone, was used by the Freemasons when the building we originally built. Eric and Brooke wrote their own wedding vows which was a nice, intimate touch. A very nice ceremony.
