Yesterday was Jim and Dana’s unique. wedding in Shaker Heights. I say “unique” because it wasn’t your typical wedding day. It was held at a private residence and it couldn’t have been more unique. Fresh cut flowers everywhere. Chalkboard sign we set about. The main ceremony site’s main focal point was a flower laden and fabric draped arbor that was constructed from trees that were felled from the property (How cool is that?!). A very laid back vibe.
Jim and Dana both finished getting ready in the house so that we could utilize the beautiful space. Very hands on with every detail, they made sure to have everything in place before guests arrived. Having such a beautiful home for a canvas on which to document a wedding day is a treat. The graciousness of the hosts, Andy and Robin, cannot be understated. A huge thank you to them for taking care of Jim and Dana and allowing them to use their gorgeous home.
Before the wedding ceremony, they wanted to see each other. This allowed them to get family pictures completed and to reduce the wedding day butterflies. Dana coming down the stairs to meet Jim was right out of the movies. Very nice.
Here are a just a few of my favorites up to that point in the day. I will post more pictures, including the wedding ceremony, and the reception tomorrow. Wait until you see the completed wedding arbor!
