I am always excited about senior pictures in downtown Akron. It offers so many opportunities for great textures and light. Plus, because Akron is a smaller city, there aren’t a lot of hassles that you have to deal with in larger metropolitan areas.
Akron Art Museum Senior Pictures
I like to meet clients in front of the Akron Art Museum. It’s a great location to begin senior pictures and it’s easy for my clients to find. The geometric lines and smooth glass of the newer part of the museum make a great aesthetic element when doing senior pictures. It helps that its and art museum (!!). But I always find that there is interesting light in this area regardless of the time of day that I’m there.
This is where we met for Maggie’s senior pictures. We started about an hour before sunset, so that we could utilize natural light. We would then wait for nightfall and get some senior pictures at night. Utilizing everything that the area presented, I’m very happy with the results.
Senior Pictures at Night
I love doing senior pictures at night. It’s not done as often as it should be. I alway love the results of senior photos at nighttime. Trying to utilize the street lights and other light sources, it’s always fun to see with we can come up with.
