Day 3 of our NYC engagement photos with Sean and Yifan was regimented just like the first two. We started with a train ride to South Street Seaport where there is a great view of the city and of the Brooklyn Bridge. Then we would make our way to Roosevelt Island, where Yifan lived for a stretch.

Pictures at South Street Seaport

One of the things that I wanted to accomplish this weekend was to take engagement pictures that reflected an authentic (yes I said it) New York City. The NYC that the locals love and would recognize. This took some doing since, as an out of towner, the city can be quite overwhelming.  Trying to see New York city thru the eyes of someone who lives there and who loves it.

The seaport is a great spot for NYC engagement pictures since it has two separate and wonderful views. Part of lower Manhattan, it is centered with Fulton Street meets the East River.  As we made our way there, there were a couple of wonderful spots of light that we HAD to explore. And once we got there…it was beautiful.

Sean and Yifan decided to take the tram over to Roosevelt Island. This gave us a spectacular view of the Queensboro Bridge, up close and personal. A nice stroll to the lighthouse on Roosevelt Island and then that was a wrap.

I want to thank Sean and Yifan for being such great hosts. Seeing SO much of New York City while being able to photograph them in it was an absolute joy. Here are a couple favorites from day 3 of Sean and Yifan’s NYC engagement photos.
