I traveled quite the distance for Chris and Catherine’s engagement pictures in Louisville Kentucky. They are from the area and, although they were having their wedding and reception at Thorncreek winery in Aurora, Ohio, they really wanted to have their engagement pictures in Louisville (Lowell-ville 🙂 ). So, I traveled south and met them by the Ohio River just west of Cincinnati.
Chris is a member to the Kentucky National Guard, so he and Catherine wanted pictures with his uniform. Catherine had some great ideas. One of my favorites is an image of her looking straight into the camera while Chris had his back to me. That is where were started and we could have ended there, the pictures turned out so well. It was a beautiful day so I utilized direct sunlight as my light source when I could.
They both are huge Louisville Cardinal fans so pictures in front Yum Center was essential. We did some pictures by the fountain in front of the main entrance. We did some images under a bridge (cool lines and light). We then went down by the Ohio River, which is beautiful this time of year, and ended our session there.
Christopher and Catherine and fantastic. Their wedding and reception at Thorncreek Winery should be just as great and I am looking forward to that.
