Lakeview Cemetery is a popular and iconic spot in Cleveland. It was used in the filming of one of the Avengers movies, “Captain America: The Winter Soldier”.
I always like to discusss the aesthetic “vibe” that my clients would like. Do they want pictures in nature with a more pastoral setting. Something urban, in downtown Cleveland with bricks, mortar and steel. When I had this discussion with Jasper and Carrie, Carrie said that she is more of the “Wednesday Adams” of the Adams Family type. I can totally dig that. I know that Lakeview Cemetery would be perfect for their engagement photos.
It was brisk and sunny so I wanted to use the direct sunlight for all of their pictures. This was beneficial in enhancing the eerie, and gothic surroundings. We drove around the cemetery and look for the interesting spots where the best light fell. I think the favorite spot for all of us was the statue of Death (yeah, it was a different kind of engagement session).
