Taylor and Carley wanted their engagement pictures in Columbus. This makes sense since they live there. We started out in a park. We were able to get pictures in a more pastoral setting with trees and flowers. This would contrast the more urban pictures that we would be doing later in a The Ohio State Stadium Columbus Short North Arts District.
It was a beautiful sunny day. Perfect for pictures. I love using full sunlight. This gives me very dramatic images and a more natural feel. The roses were in full bloom so we tried to incorporate those in the pictures in the park.
We then proceeded to The Shoe. The football stadium for The Ohio State Buckeyes. The wind! Man! I honestly don’t think I’ve dealt with such wind in a long while. Especially in the summertime. But Carley and Taylor were great and just rolled with it. It’s always fun to be around the stadium of the best college football team in the nation 😉
We then moved to downtown Columbus to the Short North District. This area was perfect. A lot of colors. Lights. Shops and restaurants. On our way to The Pearl, Taylor and Carley’s favorite spots, we found some very interesting areas of light. Reflections off of windows. Direct sunlight. It was all there. Taylor and Carley were so good in front of the camera. I’m excited for their wedding day next year.
