Amber & Jacob’s Engagement Pictures at Cleveland Botanical Garden

I met Amber and Jacob at the Cleveland Museum of Art but we ended up doing a lot of their engagement pictures at Cleveland Botanical Garden.

Engagement Pictures at Wade Oval

We met a the museum because it’s a great place to start. Wade Oval is directly behind and attached to the museum. It is one of my favorite locations in Cleveland for pictures. We walked around Wade Oval and looked for interesting light and textures, which are always in abundance there. As we were walking I realized that I haven’t explored the area surrounding Cleveland Botanical Garden. So that’s what we did.

Engagement Pics at Cleveland Botanical Gardens

Although the interior of Cleveland Botanical Gardens is spectacular, I actually prefer the exterior. First, because it’s free. Secondly, it seems a lot more natural outdoors. On this day, there was a lot of cloud cover creating an even, flat light. This has its advantages. Creating a direction of light was the challenge. What wasn’t a challenge was getting Jacob and Amber to look fantastic in front of the camera. That was not problem at all. I am looking forward to documenting their wedding next year.
