The forecast called for temperatures in the 90’s yesterday for Benjamin and Meghan’s engagement pictures at Acacia Reservation. I love using the full sun in my photos but the heat is another matter all together. So, we met as early as we could so that we could beat the heat.
Acacia Reservation is a 155 acre space in Lyndhurst, Ohio. Part of the Cleveland Metroparks it has facilities for events and wedding receptions. A paved path allows visitors to walk the area conveniently. We used the walkway to find the direction of light that is important to me and the pastoral setting that was important to Benjamin and Meghan.
Filled with long expanses and tall grasses, Acacia Reservation is perfect for engagement pictures with an outdoor/park like setting. I always discuss this with my clients. We can do outdoor/ park settings or urban/downtown type engagement photographs. During our discussion, Meghan stated that she preferred a park setting since her and Benjamin take advantage of the Cleveland Metroparks whenever they can.
Walking around Acacia Reservation, the space is beautiful. Benjamin and Meghan were great right from the start. One of the important reasons that I include an engagement session in my minimum wedding photography coverage is, not only to get to know my clients better, but to get them comfortable with me and in front of the camera. From the first frame, Benjamin and Meghan were relaxed and did everything that I needed from them. I am super excited for their wedding this December at Stoney Brook Farms.
