I met up with Sean and Yifan at their apartment for day two of the engagement pics in NYC. Their view of Manhattan!! Spectacular!! We HAD to do a pic showing that view. It turned out to be one of my favorite pictures from our time in New York City.
NYC Engagement Pictures
Our first destination once we hit the streets was Central Park. We arrived at the southern part and entered at Columbus Circle. One of the most famous parks in the world, it is beautiful. Walking thru Central Park it’s incredibly hard to believe that it’s entirely manmade. Landscape, ponds, boulders and all. It made for a perfect contrast to the busy urban surroundings that we would be using all weekend.
Engagement Pictures at NYU
After Central Park, we took a train to the campus of NYU. Specifically, there is a street lined by the homes of some NYU faculty. A very small area, it was like an oasis. Beautiful stucco like walls of yellow and red, we arrived at a great time of day for a specific lighting technique of which I’m fond.
Photos at The Met
We HAD to do some pictures at The Metropolitan Opera House and The Lincoln Center. Yifan studies ballet so it made perfect sense. We then proceeded across the street to Fordham University where both Sean and Yifan went to graduate school. A very successful and fun day. Here are a couple of my favorites of day two of Sean and Yifan’s engagement pics in NYC.
