It was cold for their engagement photos at Cleveland Museum of Art but that didn’t bother DJ and Andrea. From the start they looked relaxed and comfortable in front of the camera. Like movie stars at a photo shoot.
Cleveland Museum of Art Pictures
I love the Cleveland Museum of Art for engagement pictures for a lot of reasons. I’ve used the area quite a lot lately. First, it’s easy to find and the parking is normally convenient. Secondly, it has everything that an Cleveland engagement photographer would want in regards to aesthetics for photos. The building itself is a example of contrasts. The original building, which is now considered the back, with its large columns, is a white, Georgian Marble, Beaux-Arts building, and has a classic look. The front, with the geometrical lines, is more modern. It offers a contrast for background and texture when shooting engagement portraits. This allows us to have great variety in the pictures.
Cloudy Day at Cleveland Museum of Art
Depending on where the best light is determines where we shoot. We would normally walk around the Cleveland Museum of Art and find the best light. However, on this day, it was overcast and cloudy, so we could shoot anywhere. We mainly stayed close to the museum and even did some pictures in the parking deck, which turned out great.
We ended up doing a few photos at Wade Oval Park to increase the variety of pictures between the stone and glass of the museum and the foliage of Wade Oval Park.
