Joe and Ashley invited me to their engagement party in Akron, yesterday. Our thought was, do some creative engagement pictures in downtown Akron before the party, some candids during the party, then more creative pictures afterward.
We were on a tight schedule. There was a lot to accomplish in a short amount of time. We initially met at Baxter’s Bar in downtown Akron. This is one of my favorite locations for pictures in downtown. It has such great light and a very cool vibe. They are always so accommodating and I appreciate that. Of course we did order a beer as to not take advantage of their hospitality 🙂 .
Joe and Ashley were great from the start. Everyone is nervous when they first step in front of my camera. That is why I include and engagement session in my minimum wedding coverage. I want my clients to be completely comfortable with me when it really counts on the wedding day.
If they were nervous, I couldn’t tell. Joe was cool and stoic. Ashley clearly loves Joe. And that is exactly what I am going for in my engagement and wedding pictures. They were fantastic.
After some candids and dinner we did a few more photos right in the dining area. I’m very honored to be included in their wedding day, which will be next summer.
