It was a beautiful evening for David and Corrine’s photo session in Wade Oval Park. Wade Oval Park is a popular spot for pictures in Cleveland. Wade Oval Lagoon is the centerpiece, surrounded by foliage, trees, and groomed landscape. Beyond that, there is The Cleveland Museum of Art, Severance Hall, Cleveland Botanical Gardens and Case Western Reserve University just to name a few.
David and Corrine will be having a wedding celebration in England next month, but they live in Cleveland. They wanted their engagement pictures to reflect their new home. This area was perfect for that.
We started at the Cleveland Museum of Art. As is my practice, the exterior of the museum looking for the light. In the evening, the light is always great. The sun hits the north side of the museum and we are able to get great shots on the entrance side. We then walked around to the south side to Wade Oval Park. A stroll around the lagoon always presents great opportunities for great pictures. David and Corrine were terrific in front of the camera.
One of my favorite images was done at Case Western Reserve. The Peter B. Lewis Building, which was designed by the legendary Frank Gehry, is an awesome structure. I use it as much as I can.
I want to thank David and Corrine for allowing me to be the one to capture them in their adopted home town. I wish them luck at their wedding celebration and into the future.
