Any time that I get a chance to photograph a favorite Cleveland wedding vendor of mine, I jump at the chance. Kaelyn Zielinski of Myfairmakeup Artistry has done the make-up on a couple of my wedding clients. She has always done a great job and is super easy to work with. I know that stylists have an important job to do and make-up artists like Kaelyn know that photographers do as well (all quality wedding vendors, for that matter).
What was supposed to be a fairly straight forward headshot session turned into a full fledged fashion shoot (how couldn’t it with a make-up artist?) It was important to Kaelyn that her love of Cleveland be reflected in her images so I knew that we wouldn’t be having a standard head and shoulders “headshot” session. I liked this approach. Since Kaelyn IS an artist and a Cleveland wedding vendor her business profile pictures should reflect that. This was perfect for my style of photography.
We met on East 4th Street in downtown Cleveland. I couldn’t think of a more “Cleveland” spot than East 4th. It is one of the most popular locations in Cleveland for wedding pictures and for good reason. It’s just a cool location. You would think that it would be easy to fall into cliché but it never really happens. I think that the danger of cliché helps push creativity. It also helps to have someone as awesome as Kaelyn in front of the camera.

Here are some favorites from the session. I could have posted ALL of them I had so many favorites!
