As soon as they booked me, CJ and Ashley asked if they could do an engagement pictures in the woods and on their property in Caldwell, Ohio. For a Cleveland boy, this would be a welcome change.
After about a 2 hour drive south, I met up with CJ right off of the highway. He needed to take me the rest of the way since cell signals would be scarce (now we’re talkin’) and his “driveway” is a dirt road 8/10’s of a mile long! With a four wheeler, we would cruise around the property and find good spots for their engagement pictures. And there were plenty. There was the pond. The ridge high above the property. And the fire (Yes!). Well, not exactly a “fire” just the smoldering embers from the fire that they had the previous night. It kept spewing smoke so I HAD to test my ability to capture it. Typically, a shot like that is done at night so as to better capture the smoke. We were in direct sunlight. But it came out fine as you will see, below.
I had a lot of favorites and can only post a few here. I know that their wedding day will be great since they were so good in front of my camera for the first time.
