At the time the wedding ceremony at Thorncreek Winery was to start, it was raining. But Charlie and Sherilyn were determined to have their ceremony outside on the beautiful grounds of Thorncreek. So they waited.
Wine and Cheese at Thorncreek
They had a wine and cheese tasting scheduled after the ceremony so they just moved it to before. I LOVE that they had the flexibility to do this. It enabled them to get EXACTLY what they wanted and still provide a great experience to their family and friends. Charlie entertained the guests at Thorncreek while Sherilyn waited in her cottage at The Bertram.
It also created the perfect conditions for outdoor wedding ceremony pictures. I, typically, LOVE full sunshine for creative wedding pictures. But a wedding ceremony is an uncontrolled event. When it’s outside, it’s also unpredictable. So having a bit of an overcast is sometimes welcome.
Wedding Ceremonies and Family
Charlie and Sherilyn were sure to incorporate their families in their ceremony. A particularly poignant moment was when they each read prepared vows to each others children. Such a beautiful moment and such a beautiful day.
