I met EJ and Emma at the Cleveland Museum of Art for their engagement pictures. They will be having their wedding in Cleveland this June and engagement pictures are part of my service.
Outdoor engagement pictures
The one big challenge whenever doing pictures outdoors is the weather. To say that the weather in Cleveland has been crazy would be an extreme understatement. 25 degrees one day. 60 the next. For their Wade Oval Engagement pictures, it was moderate but with a 90% change of rain. I always look at adverse weather as an opportunity to create something unique. Not to mention prepare for the wedding day. If it rains on your wedding day you can’t reschedule. So why not practice for it if you must? This was one of those days 🙂 .
EJ and Emma were all in and enthusiastic.
When discussing their engagement session, Emma mentioned that she wanted most of the pictures to be outdoors. I I couldn’t think of a better place than Wade Oval Park. Although not much was in bloom, it’s always a great location for outdoor pictures. Plus it’s right by the Cleveland Museum of Art, which I use a lot, and Case Western Reserve University, where EJ and Emma both graduated.
It was inevitable that we would end up there. If we didn’t get anything else, Emma wanted pictures in the stacks in the library. They told me of the many hours that they spent there during their tenure at Case. It was a little challenging and I wanted to create something as unique as possible. The results are below.
Emma and Ej will have their wedding ceremony in Cleveland and their wedding reception at Windows and the River . I’m looking forward to documenting their day. Here are some favorites.
