Yesterday evening I met my clients, Ron and Monica, for their Cleveland engagement pictures. They will be getting married in Lakewood next year and having their wedding reception at Vosh (so cool!). My wife, Marie, and I love Vosh, so when Rond and Monica told me that they were having their wedding reception there, I was really excited. Ron is a photographer himself so I had my work cut out for me to try and impress them both with their engagment pictures.
First Location for Pictures
We started their engagement session at the West Side Market in Cleveland. This is the sight of their first date and the site where Ron proposed to Monica. I thought it was an absolutely perfect place to start their engagement photos.West Side Market is such and iconic spot and a lot of photographers in Cleveland have used it for engagement pictures, portraits and weddings (and cannoli 🙂 ). I wanted the pictures inside the market to be a bit dramatic so I used my speedlites to get it done. After a walk around the outside we proceeded to Wade Oval Park.
Favorite Location for Outdoor Pictures in Cleveland
Wade Oval is one of my favorite outdoor photo locations in Cleveland. It has a personality that changes every time that I’m there. On this evening, it changed right before our eyes. Beautiful sunlight that we used moments before all be disappeared within minutes. Tonight we arrived at THE perfect time. The sunlight was shining thru the trees giving us gorgeous opportunity. And Ron and Monica were so awesome. They were able to interact as though I was not even there which is a testament to their comfort with one another.
I’m super excited for their wedding next year and for another engagement session with them soon. We did some family photos that included their children, Dominic and Gabrielle. I will be posting those in a later blog post. Here are a few of my favorites of their engagement pictures.
